Alcester travelled over to Central Ajax and adjusted the formation slightly. Both teams started slowly as it took a while for the Alcester lads to get used to the new shape.
Alcester could of been 2 up inside 30 minutes with two missed chances from Keogh and Keeley.
It wasn’t till on the stroke of half time when Luke Dugmore riggled free of his markers and let a right foot strike off which hit the inside of the post and put Alcester 1-0 up at the break.
At half time management got into the lads about pressing the ball quicker, staying compact and being more clinical infront of goal.
Straight away Alcester found themselves 2-0 up when a through ball found Keeley who ran on and dispatched.
Keeley was on the scoresheet again after a neat 1-2 with Keogh he then curled a tidy finish around the keeper 3-0 Alcester.
Then come goal of the game an Alcester corner was headed out by an Ajax defender which found Tez Morton. His half volley on his left foot was hit perfectly straight into the top corner. A contender for goal of the season. This made it 4-0.
Callum Debar then replaced Keeley who had ran himself into the ground. Debar’s first touch seen him run onto a through ball and beat the Ajax keeper. 5-0.
The cherry on the cake came in the final few minutes when Tom Keogh sat his defender down in the box rounded the keeper and slotted. 6-0 FT.
A ruthless and clinical second half performance from Alcester means there in the hat for the next round.
Credit to Central Ajax who never gave up all afternoon and continued to try and play football throughout the 90 minutes.
